Lower Green Street and Tannery Road in Lunenburg will be rezoned again. In October town council approved updates to the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use Bylaw to return the properties to residential and lower density residential. This reverses a 2021 change to the zoning to general commercial. Council says this will prevent commercial development that could affect the area’s historic feel. These amendments have been approved by the province and took effect yesterday.
