The province is looking for a consultant to help decide what should be done with the MacKay Bridge. A request for proposals was issued on Friday. Public Works Minister Fred Tilley says the 56-year-old bridge is a critical transportation link handling a significant share of commuter and commercial traffic across the Halifax Harbour. The consultant will develop a business case outlining a preliminary design for a preferred crossing option.
