The Opposition NDP has introduced a bill in the legislature to double the caregiver benefit. Caregiver benefits were cut in last week’s provincial budget by 20 per cent. NDP Leader Claudia Chender is calling on the government to reverse the cuts and pass the bill that doubles the benefit to $800 a month.
