The province is restructuring and modernizing policing services. The review was announced six months after the Mass Casualty Commission released its final report. Justice Minister and Lunenburg West MLA Becky Druhan says the changes are aimed at improving policing and expanding the role of the RCMP. Other changes include creating community safety boards, recruiting more officers, and adding more resources for police in the field.
