The iconic green bottle of Moosehead beer is going the way of the dodo bird. The brewery says the decision was not made lightly, but a shift in customer preference for beer in cans has forced the business decision. Only seven per cent of beer in Canada is sold in bottles. Bottles will still be on store shelves in limited quantities until early next year. Moosehead Breweries is holding a “Last Bottle Contest” where fans can share stories online to win the last bottle of the beer produced.
