Another request from officials in Mahone Bay to conserve water, but this time it comes with a warning. While the town is not enforcing mandatory water conservation, it may have to very soon. The hot, dry weather has seen the water levels in the watershed decrease significantly. The town is asking everyone to conserve water by not watering lawns, washing vehicles, taking long showers and doing small loads of laundry or dishes.
