Doctor Waitlist gets makeover

The provincial government is overhauling the family doctor waitlist to connect patients to a primary care provider sooner. The old list was a collection of names with little information about patients' needs or situations. The new list will provide more patient information, which the province says will lead to better and faster care. There are 66,000 people on the waitlist, down 41 per cent in the last 18 months.
