A 15-year-old Bridgewater teen faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder and uttering threats after an online conversation with another youth in Manitoba. The Bridgewater RCMP got the heads up from INTERPOL and the FBI that the two teens had been discussing their desire to mount a violent attack at Parkview Education Centre. Police don’t believe the threat would be acted on soon, but say it was clear the pair had put some thought and planning into it. On Sunday, the Manitoba RCMP arrested a youth who had been planning an attack at a Manitoba school with the teen from Bridgewater. On Tuesday, the Bridgewater youth was arrested. Police say, in addition to the two charges, hate crime and other offences are being considered. The teen will be in Bridgewater youth court for arraignment today. Bridgewater Mayor David Mitchell says he is shaken by this news. He thanked the Bridgewater Police Service and the other law enforcement agencies involved.
