Residents in the Halifax region are under a boil water advisory due to a potential risk of unsafe drinking water. Halifax Water issued the advisory after an electrical issue at the water treatment facility allowed unchlorinated water into the system. People are advised to boil water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, or any other activity requiring consumption. The advisory is expected to last for another 24 to 48 hours until the water is deemed safe by the province.
